4) Kolhapur is a major market in Western Maharashtra for Districts Satara, Sangli, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri etc.

5) Kolhapur is a Sugar Belt & having maximum Sugar Factories in this area. Sugar factories are having good consumption of steel for their setup as well as maintenance & development.
